Exploring pastures anew...
Oh I didn't realise that was you with all ya dirt bikes...I was rather envious of your fine collection there. Thanks for your help. Matthew would have been pretty distrought not knowing what was going on. Thanks for bringing him to the ambo for me.
Also thanks to Dennis and Jill(Hello Nurse!) for the trackside assistance. You guys are great.
Thanks to everyone for all the get well wishes and all the pms and texts. Sorry I cant reply to the texts as I have run out of credit. Dont know when I will be able to get to a shop. My left thumb is broken and the Dr told me it will need surgery to set it properly. I want a second and possibly a third opinion. My right shoulder is frickin sore but thankfully not broken. Have a nice big laceration on my right arm with four boughty stitches keeping it together. the worst part of the whole day was not getting to race.i want turn one more than ever now!
Last time i felt this much pain was in 95 when i was knocked off my bike on the road.
Guess i will be spending even more time on here now.Race report to follow.
Yep, there is no polite way to say it but coming off or having an accident of any sort on a bike generally bloody hurts a lot
Takes some time to come right in many instances too. Bugger about the surgery![]()
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Ouch, all the best lass, heal up soon
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
Thinking of ya chick! Don't forget, if ya need anything just yell

Gidday Kel,
I'm relieved to hear it wasn't a fracture in the shoulder but a broken thumb can be a pain in the arse (so to speak) to.
I think you know how much trouble I've had with my toe joint after breaking it years ago. I'd suggest letting your thumb heal/ set properly before getting back on the bike to avoid the possibility of knocking it and ending up with osteoarthritis in it. I assure you that you don't want that if you can possibly avoid it. Oh, & get the surgery done soon if you can, they'll end up taking a bone graft from somewhere else if they wait for a few weeks. Something else you don't need.
Take it easy.

Thats bad luck buddy, wishing you a speedy recovery.
