    Although I'll never stop learning...

I'm no longer on a learners licence!!

I did my restricted test at 8.30 this morning. I was really nervous, but the tester was really nice, he explained the route to me, and gave me an earpiece so I would know where to go (I thought Rotovegas would be too hick for an earpiece, but there you go). I rode around for about 15 minutes, a couple of roundabouts, a set of lights, one lane change, and I had to stop on the side of the road and merge back into traffic. No problems.
After the test the guy said that since I already have several licence classes the test was basically just a formality to make sure I didn't fall off or anything (could have told me before). And he hadn't been watching my mirror use or head checks, because it's too hard with a motorbike. And he drove with his lights on, so I wasn't going to lose him easily.
So, 6 months time, I get to do it all again.

    Yay congrats chick!

Though if you're over 25yrs old and already have a full licence I *think* that you may be able to reduce your time to 3 months.

Huzzah and well met there! Glad to hear it was a formality for you - I'll be getting mine down sometime next week or so! Good thing is now you can ride around without that little yellow square
