Yeah I know, Just read the rules on the Ulysses website. Juniors get to help the older codgers off their mobility scooters and onto their real scooters.

Don't mind so long as the rules apply in another 10 years

I have just just last night been nominated onto the Auckland Branch committee and Rhino, my hubby, had been editor of their newsletter for 8 years. We are the largest of the branches in the country. We have a very active runs committee that organises runs each weekend to places all over the upper North Island. We don't do the pub scenes and the rides try to cater for all types of bikes and riders. For example we have a littlies and oldies ride for those who are new to riding or returning to riding. There are a few Auckland members on KB who can add heaps more.
    Cheers for that.

hey go onto ulysses.nz.co and you'll find the info all about we, and something else you should know that there are different branchs to attend if you so wish, however its not hard to join, go off to a couple of monthly meetings and pitch in with some of the rides, and full in membership form, get the branch cord and another member and will club fees you'll be a member, and been 40, aren't a junior, as by the time your 50 you get a ten year badge if you keep your membership alive, me been there since and have only a couple to go and i've never been called a junior

I'm old enough to join - and I'm still young, it's all in the mind.
Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.

Great choice of Club, I am a member of the Tauranga Branch. The Hamilton Branch is very active. There is plenty on offer in Ulysses including, social activities, day runs, overnighters, rider training, Rallies, charity runs, monthly meetings, so there is something going on most weekends, and if you are of a political bent there is plenty of opportunity to be involved at committee and organisational level also. Like many over 40's I returned to motorcycling after a long absence raising a family and retiring debt. Joining Ulysses was an ideal way for me to reintegrate into motorcycling. Go for it!

Are there many sportsbike type riders in Ulyssess, or is it cruiser, tourer type orientated etc.
I guess every area is different, but whenever I think of Ulyssess I think of oldies on cruisers.......
But then I realise, I'm an oldie in some eyes too........damn!

All sorts of bikes including plenty of sport bikes e.g. Busas, lots of Bandits, the Honda CB1300s are emerging also.
