If I hadn't braked so hard he would have hit me too! The bike slid for a fair while, as did I.

Whole right hand side of the bike is scratched and broken, my leather jacket saved me from the worst damage, but my boots are stuffed and I hit my head hard so the helmet's out of service too.

    AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH

I really love my bike and this just breaks my heart.

So I'm off to Colemans to see what the damage will be today and to psych myself up for dealing with my insurance company.

Hence why I didn't say anything about his bike... I saw the profile pic of his bike and I must say, for a cruiser it didn't look half bad...

Big article in RIDE or something on the insurance industries love of replacing anything and everything vs repairing.

They tested their idea on a simple falling off stand accident on a MV

And there was a 3000 pound diffence, ie the insurance company replaced the scratched mirror, the repair guy took out a cloth and some polish and the scratch was gone in 5 mins and save a couple of hundred pound off the bat....

    But hey your not paying
