good luck selling dodgy used tyres on trademe! if you can call that "a tyre business"[quote]

I gotta ask man, are you just tryin to start a shit fight? You've both said your piece, it's obvious there'll be no ever lasting friendship blossoming from this wee debate, so let it go.
All you're doin is making yourself look like a twat, the man said he was moving into NEW sales, not second hand tyres.

Think before jumping down somebodys throat will ya. I'm allowed to say that, because I've often made the mistake of goin off half cocked, and lookin like a cock sucks.

That was an excellent read! Thanks for the laugh. I wish I could join in the shenanigans this time but unfortunately I wont make it. Next year I will have no excuses.

I have come across a few of these strange creatures - they make a living off selling things to customers but for some strange reason they make it clear that they find the thought of doing business with you is not only unwanted but offensive to them.

    Sad, strange people they are.

Sounds like Bernard Black from Black Books

Bryce is a mate of mine and he's a top bloke I think, who has forgotten more about specific bikes and bits than most people will ever know. I dont think he'd mind me saying he can be a bit abrupt with people at times, but for you to make such a wild character defamation from one interaction is in my opinion, a bit harsh.

About the only thing about Bryce I do mind, is that he refuses to defend himself or give any explanation for what has gone down at times like this.

To each his own though, he does monitor about a dozen email accounts for different markets and things, so to have forgotten one for 12 days doesn't strike me as too bad.

Yeah I've always had good service from Bryce, not the fastest, but not the slowest either, and he has gone above and beyond several times to help me out and offer advice.

I've had a little bit of a hassle with him once, but came through in the end.. We sort of settled into a trading relationship after that, as I'm always after bits and pieces.

I bid on an engine on ebay once, and all was rosy until I asked how returns were handled and the bastard instantly blocked me. Fucked me off no end because that was the only engine on the whole of ebay. I bid through a mates' account and got it, but overall a bad experience.

Bottom line is, people are people, not robots. They all have their own personality and life, and thats just how it is. Yours or mine isn't more important - it's equally important, so pretty much you have to wait until people want to talk to you.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Your a Star for surviving as long as you have in that game.
If you have ever had anything for sale on Trademe, and had alot of silly questions.
Usually from people who are never going to bid.
Imagine that all day every day.

    Drew

I get it that he is a friend of yours and f5 Dave and no doubt others to.

Osama bin laden and Sadmam hussian also have had lots of friends and family that think/thought they were alright.

but how do the rest of the world perceive them?

If you read your own post carefully you say that you THINK he’s a top bloke

Well I know my mates are top blokes.

You say I have defamed him how?
for me to defame him I would have to have made this story up.
    Sadly I haven't.

although in fairness I should change .unt to .Anchor because that far deep down he may well be ok.

I would not care if he had forgotten In fact I could well understand that was the case if that was what he said.
But no the reason he gave me the reason for not replying was that he could smell a time wasting smartarse.
The only person’s time that was wasted was mine.
I would have thought that by replying to him to inform him that has I had had no reply from him after 12 days I had decided to go and buy the wheels from another supplier I had gone out of my way to be nice and straight up to him and not waste his time.

Grumpy I can deal with but downright rude and nasty is a step to far.

I have read now alot of other stories on this on this forum on bad customer service from Bryce and it would appear that I am but one of many people with similar gripes.

I guess a whole lot of people have a gripe about Bryce for no reason then?

I see a sad guy full of rage probably dissapointed with how his life turned out ,trying to piss of the whole world one person at a time.

    This is not

    i repeat not

ment to be an attack on you or how you see Bryce Its obviously another other side of Bryce that others and I have seen.

I personally have nothing to hide if you think this story is the edited highlights that suit just my side of the story.

I am happy to back up any of what I have said with the original emails etc.

I even would have been happy to remove this thread if had had bothered to give an explanation and an apology.

I subsequently went to another trademe bike dismantler what a revelation he could not have been more helpful. The deal was done in 5 minutes.
Got the wheels so now the Mb10 will live again with or without bucketsnbits

Its gotta be a tough ol job being a bike wrecker.I've been at both atomic and action wreckers a few times when utter idiots come in or phone up. The conversation is utterly predictable and would be funny if it diddn't happen over and over again.
Seriously guys n gals -most of you on here know the year/make /model etc of your bike and what the part is you want.
Not defending bryce (although I've always had good advice/service from him) But it really must wear you out deling with idiots day in and day out.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

    Hello Jothathan

At least Bernard Black had a sense of humor.

Bryce is not even witty in his retorts
