Fatal crash in Pukekohe (6 April)

Just had a call from a colleague who has been at a fatal motorbike crash in Pukekohe this afternoon.
Not many details, bike was about 400cc, was riding with a mate, no car involved.

Not a good start to the weekend... be careful out there.

    RIP to the rider.

    BC.

Hanging around the auckland hospital today... loitering if you will.

Ran into a bedridden chap who had a headon with a car around sandringham area... seemed he got off relatively lucky.

Speculating at this stage but possibly involved the bike getting a tank-slapper and throwing the rider off (from what I have been told).

Dang, then I suspect the rider hit an immovable object on the roadside, or the ground in a awkward manner. Not nice.
