    Kia Ora from Waiotahi
Anyone out there had any experience in putting a ducati ST2 motor into a 1993 M900 Monster
Would appreciate some feedback on this.
    thanks Kereama

Are they both air/oil cooled, or is the ST2 watercooled?
    I thought 93 M900 was a totally different generation to the ST2?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

The monster is both air and watercooled. The later models are, and they are carb and injection. The problem being I have the original monster. I just dont know what frame differences are.

ST2 is a 2 Valve motor & ST4 is the 4 Valve 916 type .Don't see why you shouldn't be able to do somthing about getting it in there without to much trouble Sensei

you will probably need to be putting in the st2 harness also(cdi etc).
there's an excellent ducati mechanic at haldanes who may be able to answer your questions.

Had so feed back from Aussie. The motor mounts are all the same. If I stick to the flatsides I already use and forget about the Fuel ignition. I can use ignition system I already have. So I just have to mount the radiator up front manifold should all fit and It's a goer. Fingers xed. Just got to wait for the motor to arrive from Japan.
I would if I could. So I will

I'm not sure if this can be done. (thanks for the compliment Blakamin!!

My Monsters are both two-valve engines.

Keep us posted Kereama. If this bloody shit weather ever disappears, I could ride up and show you my bikes one weekend. (I'd let Hamish ride the other one)
