    Photo(s) needed of a 2004 R6 - non-copyrighted

    Hi guys,

Posting out of the usual "I'd like to use your bike reviews" spot, as hopefully it'll bring this to a wider audience.

The next bike review to get the Motobke.co.uk 'treatment' is going to be Motoracer's fantastic write-up of the 2004 Yamaha R6. I'm schedulling it to appear on the site on or about the 24th September.

Just one problem - I need at least one photo to accompany the article.

Any photos MUST NOT be 'borrowed' from other websites or Suzuki promotional material. They MUST be photos taken by you (or a mate) and not be subject to any kind of copyright. If they are and I use them, then I'm braking the law... and that could see my site get closed down (and once the trail starts, who knows where it will end).

So... if anyone does have a photo of a 2004 R6 they would be happy for me to use (and I'll be more than happy to give them a photographers credit on the article), then drop me a line and I'll let them know what I need.

Alternatively, if you could put it in here, then I can do a spot of cutting and pasting and get on with putting the review into "Webspeak".

    Thanks for your help,

    Bob

If you don't get any R6 pics, feel free to use any pics of my FXR150 in the article.

Gidday Bob, since your one of the few poms that use the correct term (ENGLAND), and not this UK crap that the others do, I would be more than happy to help, and since It was my bike that MR used to form his review It makes sense . Sadly I am one of those tecnaphobic non geeks on KB, but I feel sure we can get one or more of the geeks with the photo thingy to help out. Will ask around to day.

There is a photograph in my profile Bob. Not the same colour as Firefight's tho. It's original and uncopyrighted.

That`s because we live in the U.K,of which England and Scotland are a part. The sooner Scotland gets independence the better,England subsidises it to a massive extent,we`re probably picking up the tab for the new parliamentary building fiasco as well.

Well, according to the CIA (and I am NOT going to argue with the CIA!), the correct name is:

conventional long form: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
    conventional short form: United Kingdom
    abbreviation: UK

    So there you have it,

Thank you Bob, it would seem that there are no Scots in the CIA, what do you think ? :spudwave:

I'm sure I have mentioned this before, but it is a good story and well worth telling.

Back when the border between England and Scotland was being worked out (before unification), there was a dispute over Berwick on Tweed, with both countries claiming it as their own.

While this debate was going on, war was declared with Russia. According to convention, a signed declaration of the warring parties has to be drawn up and signed. So, the declaration was "England, Scotland and Berwick on Tweed do declare war against Russia".

Now by the time the war was over, it had been decided that Berwick was part of England (despite their football team playing in the Scottish leagues).

So the declaration of peace was "England and Scotland do declare peace with Russia".

Berwick on Tweed was omitted. So.... technically speaking, Berwick and Russia are still at war.

Somehow I don't think Putin will be shaking in his boots...
