Actually, any two-wheeled vehicle with an engine power output greater than 2 kW is classified as a motorcycle. Unfortunately, it's not the people riding 2 kW+ machines which are the problem. It's the pillocks on 50 cc 1980 Vespas which pull three horsepower and a maximum speed of 45 downhill.

I'm quite happy to acknowledge larger scooters as motorcycles. I haven't seen their riders pulling stupid shit like tailgating in the wet. (Of course, I still think scooters are for weanies.)

Dont you just love it when people try and do something to stop accidents and inadvertantly heighten the chances of an accident. No points for trying to cause an accident mate. Yes you would have been in the right but the scooter rider may have ended up in the paralysed, tough lesson to learn and just coz they were following too close. Next time maybe think first and then drive defensively, perhaps a bit of flashing brake lights to tell them they are too close but not a hard braking manouvre.
