The last part above is why they appeal to me.

They do offer an excellent view, but perhaps by virtue of the principle of leverage (through the bars), they tend to vibe a little more than usual. At least that's my experience. Not the bars (unless you had bar-end weights before, and have to take them off depending on clamp style), but the mirrors themselves. However, you have a Harley and I have a single, hence quaking mirrors aren't really out of the ordinary anyway, are they? It all smooths out above idle anyway.

I take your point but my H-D has a rubber mounted engine/trans so hopefully it does not vibrate TOO much.

I'm not sure if the picture shows them too well, but I bought some Motrax mirrors ($65 a pair) recently and they are excellent. I had Napoleans but for some reason couldn't keep them solid in the bar ends. The Motrax bolt on around the bar, altho' they do also have the option of an expanding collar that goes into the bar, but these look a little dodgy to me. I have used CRG's, which are excellent, but the Motrax are a knock off and work just as well for half the price.
I think they're sold on e-bay, but I bought them for a local store (Cyclegear).
    Cheers

We got them from Sawyers in Welly for about $37 (I think) each. They had one and ordered the other so I'd say they're available
Thank god for them .. as without them I could not see behind myself at all.

Those are the ones I got through Anarchy Accessories.
They are made by Oberon in the UK,pretty slick but pricey, good adjustment too, they can mount into the end of the bar end or on the top/bottom of it - I have them on the monster and would reccomend them.
Although I have just taken them off in favour of the std ones whilst doing the Southern Cross(can't see shit in the bar-ends in the dark).

I know what you mean, don't mind paying a reasonable mark up but 100/200% is a bit much. I'm buying pretty much all my bits overseas. I'd like to support NZ importers and distributors but not with such a massive price difference. I guess they must pay the same as we do if we buy direct?

I think the drilled and tapped end weights come with them. All you do is replace the existing end weights with the new mirror ones.

They're similar to the ones in my previous post and a similar price but probably cheaper and quicker to ship from Oz

H-Ds don't have bar-weights so no worries there!!
