Hi Fitgit and welcome! There are quite a few members from the Rotorua area, and a lot of them are very experienced. I think some of them may be mentors so don't hesitate to ask for help in learning to survive!

I latched onto a mentor group and found it great as a new rider. Lots of tips and pointers and of course the social side as well. No one at the mentor ride looked down on my GN250. I think riders always remember their first learner bike with some affection.
By the way, the GN is a great bike. I get approx. 320 km from the 10 litre tank with a combination of round town and highway.
welcome to a great new take on life.
It is only when we have lost everything that we are free to do anything.
I have a GN250 it is awesome I love it although I have never ridden anything else. Mainly because of money and just having something safe I can ride without doing too much damage if I fall off. Going for my second ride tommorow weather permitting so am very excited. Have to catch up with ya all at riders bar on thursday.
