A funny thing happened on the way to work this morning.,...

Some guy (of a foreign nationality) with a vehicle full of people (of a similar appearing nationality) in a Range Rover decided to "take me on" coming down the NW motorway in Auckland this morning.

Now if I understand correctly the power to weight ratio of the RF900 I was sitting on is just a tad higher than that of the Range Rover, and though my top speed is similar to the Range Rover it should be pointed out that I'm talking the top speed of my bike in 2ND GEAR.

So after I finished laughing I emailed a guy here at work (with a Range Rover) and wondered what he thought - no response to date!

I should point out there was absolutely no accelration on my part, actually staying near the speed limit... but oh it were tempting!

Anyone sighting BBQ851, British Racing Green Range Rover, please feel free to be smug, know the guy is an idiot and point and laugh

Don't be too smug - if the Rangie decided he wants the bit of ground you're riding on, he's going to have it.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Oh agreed entirely and I have the utmost respect for all other road users for that reason... it was the "point and squirt" approach that he took that made me laugh

Gotcha (and I'm not quite sure I wanted to know - but thanks LOL)

Does his profile mention that he's an IDIOT? If not, please feel free to add that. I think he deserves it

The LTSA doesn't record those details, but perhaps they should...

    jrandom, you're a naughty man...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Something to do with the positioning of the pricks?

    Nope.

Vehicle registration details are public-domain data. If you don't like it, don't register a vehicle.

It's fair enough to expect that other road users can identify me when I'm out in public controlling two tons of steel travelling at a hundred kilometers an hour with eighty litres of incendiary chemicals packed underneath it.
