hehe I think I should dress up like Emily Howard and give Finn a big kiss down the pub in front of all his mates....
Would that make everyone feel better? or just me?

You've got to be kidding.
It's not a business (i.e. no revenue) so it wouldn't attract such a figure. If it was, based on market value of technology based businesses, it would have to have an EBIT of around $200,000 PA. As it is it's currently running at a loss as Spank has to fund it with some help from members, not to mention the time he puts into it.
If a value were to be put on it, it would have to be based on the potential for it to earn money but herein is the problem. I think if it were to be turned into a business, it would go downhill. However, limited advertising (subtle, without being in our faces) would pay for the running costs and upgrades etc.
OK so is this coming back out of the joke forum then?
Finn if you are serious and SpankMe you want the change then I'll support both of you - emotionally that is - though I have and can remain a willing financial contributor to a degree.
Cheers

Haven't been on KB for long but have learnt to read multi page threads before quickly posting a comment. Have to admit had me going in the first page or 2 until I saw where the thread was listed. Excrement !

Of course there are overhead costs that need to be deducted from this, but there would be no need for banner ads or other overtly commercial overtones to detract from the site's current ambience. And it would be a better deal than an Greenacres lawn-mowing franchise.
One could also register the business in the Cayman Islands, remit all of the income to an account there and live tax-free in New Zealand on a VISA card (GST notwithstanding).
