    Oh you girl's blouses!

We went over the hill, bit misty at the top though, and went out to White Rock. Really neat ride through there, couple of slippy bits on the clay, but a good gravel road to ride. Hit some rain at Tuturumuri on the way back, but cleared up just past Martyborough.

The Transalp is just the bike for days that are a bit poopy like today.

We are going to go back out there sometime, but might have to take lunch and the fishing rod next time!

Did 270k there and back to the Hutt.

Same for me. No one at Rimutex at 0955 but 3 Ulyssians at Brown Owl Shops to go over the hill, Round lake Wairarapa to Martinborough for brunch. Bike looks like it did more than the 270kms I managed. Temp only got down to 6 and I did find a liitle sunshine.

Road is a nice one. Nice and twisty all the way. I took it a bit easier as it was damp but still felt like I had plenty of grip. There are sections where it is a bit tighter, and there are some sections where it opens up a bit and you can see right through the corners and give it some more.

They have resealed parts of it, and there were a few bits that had a small amount of gravel left in the center of the lane. Like any small country back road, beware of driveways, stock on the side of the road and places where stock have crossed the road.

I went right through from Masterton to Pahiatua which was about 75km and took 45 min. To Eke you turn left at Alfredton rather than right, and the distance from Mstn to Eke is probably 65ish km so maybe 35-40ish mins

I might come on the ride next week, will see what I'm doing

Slept in, Looked out the window at 10 am and though it can wait! I headed out at 2 to the hill and was great until Kitoke and then it got wet real quick, and slippery. Got to the top and the rapa looked worst so went home. I think I need a few more wet days to get use to it as I was supprised how slippery it can get. I did learn how to read the different tarmac and what griped and what didnt. There is always next week.

Thank you Kinje for the feedback. I am actually thinking that perhaps the direct route: Rimutex (rather than out to Martinborough on the way) make a coffee stop at Carterton - Wild Oats then onto Masterton - Alfredton - Eketahuna - returning back to Rimutex (with a detour on the way back Masterton to Martinborough for those who may want a longer ride.)

Reckon may have to nominate you as ride captain out of Carterton.

    Good weather please.

    Heads Up and Enjoy

Kinje has since suggested we go out to Martinborough and middle road to Carterton therefore avoiding SH2.

    Plan B:

TCSMR take it on the fly and may decide a ride on Wellington side if it too windy for the Rimutaka Hill and Wairarapa.

    Heads Up and Enjoy
