Yeah if the electrode and strap are fouling that means you're running quite rich (or your plugs are buggered).

Nah no white flecks or peppering or anything

Yeah the porcelain insulator is supposed to go a tan/light brown colour when your A/F mixture is spot on. If you're getting a lot of soot on the insulator it's probably a bit rich on the mains.
A bit of colour on the insulator is good though, which is why I am wondering why mine is staying so white.

[EDIT] Went for another long ride, pulled the rear plugs and took a photo (they were identical).

Odd, I have as light hang so would have said a bit lean for me esp since I'm running 115 and 118's on a half system

Ah yep, might need to go another 8th out to get rid of the hang. How's your low speed cruise? (1st gear in parking lots etc)

Slightly erratic exhaust note while holding throttle steady at low RPM, and feeling a bit down on power from low revs.

    Well never mind then :P
With my cut standard exhaust and very open muffler I've found the sweet spot is 2 3/8ths out on the A/F screws.
That's with a sub 1000km old air filter and new plugs though.

Away for a year (perhaps more depending on circumstances). I really want to just put it under a tarp in someones garage, but I need the money more than I need a bike in storage

I know! Not great for us! Though the 6200 and 4700 ones with Chinese fairings are dreaming! And then the other cheapie with Chinese plastic as well...tbh that red white one looks nice and tidy...though who knows how well looked after
