    Wrong way around.
But it is quite likely with Round one of the winterseries on.

Would a ZXR750 front end suit my 400? I'll be getting the stocks forks for my Gixxer and I could take the 750 ones that are currently on it and replace the crap front end on the 400. Then Bam, got 2 race bikes!

I'd be keen on the 400 front end if you decide to ditch it, its a big upgrade from my front end!

Hmm, not too sure on that. I suppose I wouldn't be replacing the front ends of either bike unless I found something better so I probably wouldn't need the old forks.

See if I can get the forks off the gixxer then on the 400. Plus I've got to get the original forks off the previous owner of the gixxer.

what's wrong with your stock vfr forks? if you used the zxr750 (ignoring the physical size/weight differences) don't you dare change to the zxr750 front wheel (presuming it is wider than the vfr stock) or you will ruin one of history's best handling bikes

A quick video I made showing a smart camera mount I've found on Ebay. Perfect for the VFR750. Company is called Cycle Machine works . Cost about $US 44. Nice quality. Proper bolts etc... Works very well on the VFR. Will also work on the VFR800.

    Nicely put together video, Mort!
Nice bike too - like the one I used to have! Except I stripped'n'polished the wheels, which (IMHO) looked nicer than the white painted wheels, and were easier to keep clean.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

White wheels are the stupidest thing about old VFRs...

    Hmmmmmm......

No, I think the riveted-together Comstar wheels on the old VFs were stupider. But they were black, so they didn't show the road spooge too badly.

And the frames that you had to drill a drain hole in to stop them rusting out from accumulated water.
    And vacuum-operated fuel taps.
And soft cams / poor top end lubrication.
Noisy camchains were crap too. "Grrrrrrr!!!" and all that....

It wasn't all bad though - I liked the air preload on the shocks - just add a bit of air when carrying a pillion. The anti-dive in one fork leg was fun too: wind it down to "0" and stoppies were VERY easy.
