How different is it from the 750 ?
Wrecker in Ngaruawahia has wrecked more than one 750.
Someone was selling a STAINTUNE on TM.
Oh just found it again ... Retail prices by cycletreads

I am looking at buying one that has a "yamamoto" can on, sounds like a mechanical orchestra..

Who is yamamoto ? Some old school performance brand ?

the HRC built NC30 and 35 (400cc) are pretty finely tuned on the exhaust/carburetion for scavenging etc that a higher flow pipe will righty fuck up.

when jafa fitted his he was shooting blue flames for weeks while he tried to get it right, and i've ridden many gutless vfr400s with gutted pipes

If you do fit an aftermarket pipe (in my case, a complete Two Brothers system), you will indeed as Motorbyclist says, tune it to suit.

This can take a little while, and is pretty time-consuming.

But oh god almighty is it good once it's set up right.

Look up Cycleworks in Lower Hutt, they make 'em but its excellent quality for a great price. Buckets 'n bits may have a second hand one.

At most Mort, you may need to shim the needles. I did that on my RC36 when I modified the muffler. Pretty easy to do.
    ... and that's what I think.

My '90 750 (RC36) is in need of another mirror ... dont ask
Someone sells on TM mirrors for the 400 but they arent much of a match and when I've asked about the 750 ones it always draws a blank.
Previously I have got a set off eBay, so this time have done the same.
$US20 + $US12 ($NZ47.15) to land on my doorstep. Sweet

I don't know about the later 750s but I can't see much other than my elbows in my mirrors. Anyone fixed this with aftermarket mirrors? If so where'd you get them?

The earlier VFR's are quite bad for mirror view. Later models are better. My '96 was very good and the '07 is great.

Up until a few months ago, I had a spare 750 mirror in my cupboard, but I dismantled it to use the glass as a temporary fix for a KBer's VFR400 mirror.

As for rear-view vision: my current bike has excellent view to the rear. My elbows can be seen in edges of the mirrors when they're adjusted properly, but they don't obscure too much of the view at all.
