MFSC lives on!
Theres a vid floating around somewhere with a dude bouncing some carbon BST rims of the concrete floor.. I think older rims might be a worry, although I can't say for sure, the only carbon I own is my helmet, and that has be raked through the stones at manfield with only some scratches..
anyone on here got a regulaotr for a vfr400r NC24? its a 7 wire one, pm me if you can help out and we can talk turkey. sorry for the thread hijack!
7 Wires .... ?
3 Yellow > Stator
1 Red > Output
1 ? > Sense
Perhaps
1 Black ? Earth
That makes 6. Not sure what #7 would be for
Cheap option. Go to any m/cycle wrecker, most bikes have the same setup. Even farm quads. buy anyone with a decent heat sink on it and solder it in.
Solder will last you longer as the crimp connectors loose their tension which causes resistance and with some current flowing you get heat and then melted connectors
When running ... Make sure you have over 50 volts AC between the yellows, this will indicate if there is deeper troubles lurking in the stator.
Not running ... The 3 yellows should have no connection to earth. (ground, or frame)
Good luck and dont spend too much![]()
7-wire is often 3=stator, and 2 each of earth and +ve.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
I've put up a thread in the social group specifically for suppliers and resources. If you know of somewhere that is useful for bits and pieces for the viffers, let others know please!

Anyone thinking of jumping on the VFR bandwagon need only take a look here!

Cheers!
There was an '02 VFR 800 at the sprints today.
From memory his best times were around 241KPH Flying and 11.3X standing.
