Very tidy mate, I approve of the white wheels too - always wanted some on mine.

Check out the SMC sub-forum - we have a lot of VFR enthusiasts, and plenty of rides over summer. And we're friendly people to boot!

(vids on youtube, search for gavinlegge or cliffhanger 2009 if you want to hear the vfr800 with the ends of the exhaust modified )

i have been lurking on KB for awhile now, but with the bikeoi have become a little more active. and of course i saw the street sprint thread and had to go didn't I...

So yeah, an 85VF1000R (which is currently de-reged but i'm getting the itch to get her on the road again after last weekend), the VFR800 2002 (latest addition to the garage) and i did have some time ago a rat vfr400 NC24 which was stolen from Haitaitai outside my flat a few years back. I miss that bike.
so yeah, sign me up for a Vee four lover for sure.

have a look at my profile pics to see the VF1000R (oh yeah, she dosint look like that any more (pics taken after body restored), the 1000 has over 280,000k's and is a bit worn out (but still a runner). and has been down the road a few times and used as a daily runner, so not looking so pretty today i'm afraid. time for another restore. but love the bike to bits. done a few 1000 milers on it as well. awesome machine.
), the 800 and i dont have any of the nc24 on here but there are some on http://www.angelfire.com/hi/VF1000R/vfr.html if you need a work shop manual for a VF1000R it can be found here.. http://gavweb.dts.net.nz/VF1000R

hey vfrians not to sure if this the right place but i ment to post ages ago that the oil filter on the vfr's ive been using a repco one Z411 for about a year now no problems at all.
$6 vrs $24 from motomart it's a good option and in my eyes no difrence at all the seals are a perfect match as is size.

Yeah, there's lotsa Mrkns who alsp just use a no-name one from Walmart or wherever. As long as the filter paper (or whatever they use) and the valve thingo (relief valve?) are equivalent, it doesn't matter.
    Much.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

well i havn't got a vfr as such ...no r for me
but here's my dream bike from when i was a wee lad,
    Photobucket

she's pretty much show room condition apart from the exhausts (removed for more noise, but still have them)

handling leaves alot to be desired, what with the crappy air shock on the back, but ill remedy that with a hagon later on

if you do find that the clearances are out you might get away with swapping the existing ones around....

I hope they do need doing, cause there is a new ticking sound coming from the right rear cylinder that wasn't there when I bought it..
