hope so, I'm interested to try.

the fun part is riding a bike with no pretension of street legality on the road to where I can give it a whirl...... oh well.

depends on the insurer - do give David Golightly a call; he only does bikes and is realistic (ie affordable and sensible) with premiums and payouts

the condition and mileage will cause the value to vary; I learnt the hard way with Protecta when they decided my stolen nc30 was worth what red baron would trade-in for at 58000km

the snorkel is not to limit airflow!

It will probably be something to do with resonance in the airbox.

    NC30 bits and pieces

    Hi all,

I'm after a couple of bits so I can try out my NC30 for the first time.
Does anybody in the Auckland area have any of the following?:
    - rear sprocket
    - chain
    - front brake lines

They don't have to be anywhere close to flash, just something cheap that'll enable me to have a bit of a play.

    what rubber

    OK Peeps,

absolutely slutted with the tyre life I'm getting from my Conti sport attacks, and am looking at other options that will give me same grip but better tyre life. looking at Michelin Power One Streets or Pirelli Diablo. Does anyone have any opinions on these two?

Or if they are both shite, has anybody used the newer Conti Sport Attacks which are now a dual compound?

    Cheers,

    Andrew

Depends on your budget, I think the newer battle axes are pretty recommended.

I've got some spare front brake lines left from when I upgraded mine. PM me if you want em.

Also have a decent front sprocket, soon a CDI, a couple of slightly ratty fairing pieces in white/red.

Edit: Ecko - what kind of tyre life are you getting at the moment, out of interest? What kind of riding?

Went and saw AJ yesterday - saw your bike there too jono....the tabs between fairings look a hell of a lot better than mine - they fit together (badly, but at least the tabs fit behind fairings etc!) Seems to be a common fault with the mould with the front cowl being too low and hitting the headlights. Your rear section was looking pretty darn good though!

budget is around the $500 mark, not so much the dollars, more better life out of them

getting about 5000 km's out of them. Wellington based, so Rimutakas and Wairarapa account for most of it. I'd class myself as an average rider, so don't know if I'd class it as hard riding. My front tends to take a bit of a beating as I often carry too much speed into corners. I also do the occassional track day, where I try to look like I'm riding hard and the rear gets a harder time.
