I'm quite fond of bismuth. Quite an interesting metal. Niobium has some interesting effects also. Of couse everybody always flocks to the trans uranics, but I think they are really rather common.

im up on the thursday so might check out dragonforce .... not really my thing but i dont think anything else is happening in auckland on thursday
I'm goin to both shows mate! They're definitely my thing. I play in Horde Lorde, don't know if you've heard of them, but we were at one stage in the running to be Dragonforce's opening act but the slot got given to the aussie band called "Vanishing Point" who they're touring aussie with, which is also not bad for us cos we get to see another good quality metal band... although playing with DF would have been nice! Haha. I'm also a HUGE fan of Nile, so when I heard they were coming I just about shat myself!! I actually thought it was bullshit at the time because Gareth from NZMetal came and told me and some mates at the Gospel of the Horns gig that he was bringing Nile over, so naturally I assumed he was talking shit... but it turned out to be true!

Hopefully see you at the shows mate

Tempting? Tempting? Come on - who's the audience going to be with if you don't show up? They'd have to change it to the "audience with some random punter" gig.

Yep, listen to metal all day. Just mainstream stuff though, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Sepultura, Metallica. Like hard rock too though, stuff like SOAD etc.

If you're into death metal you'd be a fool to miss Nile! In my opinion (and most others it seems) they are about as good as they come in metal. And if you're into any metal at all you wont want to miss Dragonforce, will be one of the most fun shows you've ever been to. Only 3 weeks away! (and a bit)

With you on all of those ones. I highly recommend you to check out Nile, cos if you like Morbid Angel, Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus etc then you'll love them... and do so quickly before they play in Auckland.

Had a MK1 Cortina many years ago, back in the day when crushed velvet and plush carpet interior was acceptable...was right into Iron Maiden then as an 18 year old....Had Iron Maiden painted on the back, naming your car was acceptable then too.... Paul di'Anno was on vocals so yeah that must have been 1980 or so?....
