The petrol consumption will be at least 4 times that of a fxr not including the 2t oil. Cost of ownership will be high and in reality a waste of an engine for daily commuting but oh so much fun on an open road.

And as you mentioned your braking mishaps be very, and I mean VERY, careful with rgv brakes for the first few weeks. They bite hard.
    yeah i noticed its a 2 stroke v twin....not a commuter...

    i was thinking a 250 commuter, maybe a cbr250?....but i dont like the lights...they look silly.

Depends how bad it is. If you're ready for something faster and want to stick with suzuki consider an RG150. You could get a nice one with your budget and still have some left over incase anything goes wrong. Repairing your bike could be quite the mission, I wouldnt do it for an fxr but I've never owned one. If you're attached to the bike and think you can do it go for it!

All you Christchurch guys turn them into buckets so,

Ask in the racing forum they would have everything lights indicators fairings etc

I wouldnt recomend an RGV for commuting youd be getting into hassles clogged chambers etc,

Someone said Hyosung but if so keep an eye on them especially in the frame right by the headset theres a bracket welded across the frame and the welds snap clean off.
Could be nice bikes just need to keep the maintenace higher than what the recomended shedule is

    Just soem advice
Blindspott are back as Blacklist check them out

I'm amazed at how my awareness has upskilled

I watched a shiney maroon sedan with a senile old women behind the wheel pull out infront of me 2 days after I got the bike back, I watched her from ages away creeping out, i flashed my lights, beeped my horn....flashed my lights beeped my horn...FLASHED MY LIGHTS AND IM BEEPING MY HORN HELLO YOU STUPID OLD GRAPEFRUIT!?!?

i was reducing my speed the whole time but still had to pull hard to the left, but still shouldnt have to, especially after that much warning.

but i dunno, my gloves have a carbon fibre bit over the knuckles...

oh, an update on mel shawsomething

basically state made contact with her at the end of may, she denies liability (bitch) on what grounds i dont know/care.

so state asked her for a statement and diagram on the 23rd of may, she hadnt got back to them when i called on the 26th...

so i've paid both excesses ($600 for each accident) state will pass it onto their "recovery team" who according to state "recover" the money (atleast that's what they told me when i asked wtf a recovery team was) who'll bill her and gimme $600 in one easy payment.

according to state, if she refuses to pay they'll take it to the tribunal court where I'll have to give a statement and a diagram.

being that I know my math and am trained 3d animator my diagram will be a 3d representation to scale with all factors including wind, velocity, etc with slow mo action replay!

Jesus you are in the wars a lot Dave
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
