Attaching L plate?

While I've been busy at work (and checking out KB) some little shit has swiped my L plate off the back of my bike, why on earth anyone would want it I have no idea but obviously I need a better way of securing my next one. (only used velco with this one)
Any ideas?

I wouldnt worry too much about it to be honest...

You will find a good 90% of people dont have them on at all...

Velcro should work just fine, however keep a spare (they come in pairs) under your seat.. get pulled over and "damit, it fell off again officer. Let me grab my spare..."

Another 'trick' is to bolt it on using your number plate bolt, then snap the L plate off and put that under your seat leaving a bit attached to your bike still.

Car drivers tend to target L platers - in many people's opinion your safer without one.

If you really want it on there I suggest bolting it on.

Drill a few holes in it and tie it on with some cable ties? When you'e done with it, just cut the ties and you'd be good to go...

I use a couple of bulldog clips. Rock solid, although the little screw holding the other side down (just press fit) has worn out the plastic so occasionally it lets go and flaps around. But the actual L plate has never gone missing.

When I started riding I thought this was a myth made up by people who wanted an excuse not to display an L-Plate.

After 6 months and 7000km+ of riding (whilst displaying an L-Plate the whole time) I think that it's a myth made up by people who wanted an excuse not to display an L-Plate.

Pays to attach it with the screws from the licence holder or the licence plate itself ... it is those who do not display and get caught with the fine that complain most bitterly ... and it ain't worth it.
