    You just never know

    .

Went for a quick blat Hamilton today to meet up with Quazzie, as always I went down 22. About 3 kms from Ngaruwhia still on 22, what do I find as I come around the corner, the old bozze bus and about 3 or 4 patrol cars.

While stopped I struck up a bit of a converstaion with Mr I asked how many drunks they had caught, none at that stage, so thats good to hear
but they had made a bit of dosh $$$$$$$$$$$$$ out of WOFs and regos, this is the third time I have come across the revenue team on this road, last two times it was further north...

"Would crawl over broken glass before owning Suzuki"

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

On motorway patrol last night, a young 'lady' was pulled over and found to be driving a vehicle that had previously been pink stickered (4 times I think).

Instead of getting the vehicle up to standard, she would simply re-register the vehicle with different plates.

The cops said that this amounted to fraud (using a document for pecuniary purposes or something like that), she was totally unremorseful and is likely to do it again, yet the cops only ticketed her for no wof or rego. I can't understand why she wasn't done for fraud ? The cops were laughing away about it as they left....big joke eh.

Yeah, I wondered about that. On this programme, they've tended to give tickets for the worst offences and just warn on the others. Yet the fraud thing carried a possible prison sentence and big fine. Maybe they wanted to look 'nice'?:spudwhat:
Beats me, but ticketing her for that as well was possibly the only way to get her to stop being a naughty girlie.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

The cop who handed out those tickets was being quite friendly to the offender. Perhaps he just didn't want the extra paperwork of a prosecution for the fraud offense.

On a related note, did anyone else notice the knockers on that chick who was pulled over on the motorway in the unregistered and unwarranted hatchback?

Wearing a top like that, you'd think she almost *expected* to have to convince a police officer not to give her a ticket...

Hell yes jrandon, she was hot as. If I was that cop I definately wouldn't have given her a ticket. What kind of a reason is that stupid fluffy thing to pull someone over, what a joke. Although she did pass the cop car. If I was driving an unregistered and unwarranted car I would stay as far away from a cop as possible.

As for those other dumbasses, they deserved all they got. Those two dumb giggling school girls trying to be cool in their ford laser should have been shot. What a stupid bitch. As for mr "Hellos tos all yous single ladies of new zealand" what a plonker. Doing 170 on the motorway drunk, how dumb can you get. Should have done us all a favour and crashed into one of the median barriers killing himself but no one else.

As for the asian "dog abuser" what a crack up, lol. She didn't seem too impressed with his behaviour, lol.

Yeah, wonder how the cop may have reacted if no camera with him when he stopped that chick with the large hooters, must have worked for her in the past, she "adjusted" her top once she saw she was being booked. Good work spotting that bitch who stole the black Mitsy, but what did she get 40 hours community service ? Throw her in jail for god sakes...........

He warned her about the fluffy thing because it was near the end of the day, they'd probably just had a couple of boring hours in the patrol car with no contacts, and he wanted to pull someone over so that he could be on TV. Understandable.

And it's fair enough to ticket someone for rego and WOF several months overdue.

Did you notice her adjusting her bra [Edit: *was* there one?] for the camera?

um about the "rereg" thing. The girl didn't actually do anything fraudulent.
Under the current law you can take in your plates and pay $19.00 and get replacements.
For sure her purpose in doing so was to slip under the poilce radar but changing plates in itself isnt against the law.

that stretch between Nga and Hly on 22 is rich pickings for burglars, disqualy drivers and people with warrant to arrests, breaching their bail etc, and the occasional drunk - it's just a rat run from one POS place to another - we often parked there mid week and would pick up 1/2 dozen impounds and a couple of lock ups. the wof's etc are really just rats and mice stuff to help pass the time. it is unbeleivable how many people try to u-turn at this location. some of the bigger ones i can remember from there:

    - the best EBA was 1800 mcgms at 11am on a wednesday morning.
    - a stolen nissan patrol from a home invasion/attempted murder in auckland
ramming (climbing over) a patrol car and nearly killing the cop inside - they
just never expected to see a checkpoint at that location
    - 6 cars travelling in procession from a 48 hour 'hoot nanny' - each driver
    disqualified, lowest EBA level 850mcgms.
    - impounding a (well known) politicians car cause he was suspended due to
demerits - he tried to u-turn and do a runner too!

in the booze bus guys defence - they do 2 weeks of night shift, 1 week of day shift. they don't really enjoy day shift as it is predominantley catch up and paper work, and the most fun is on night shift, so on day shift they try to do the most 'productive' locations.

Yeah it wasn't the changing of plates, it was the driving of a pink stickered car multiple times.
But changing the plates for that reason was the fraudulent part.
