    Which bike insurance?

    Hi all.

Just a quick question now that my bike has cleared customs, MAF and entry certification. Who are the best insurance companies for bikes? I would prefer a company that actually knows something about motorcycling and has appropriate medical/legal cover. Trying to get any info out of the guys on the telephone is like extracting teeth!

    Thanks in advance

    Michael

I agree. If you get in touch with John Baker insurance brokers they can check with a number of companies but will almost always end up with STAR and may be able to negotiate a small discount.

Oscar you are a broker so which are the companies that your company uses. I understand there will be a couple but who are they and why do you choose one over the other.

If you are over thirty, call Classic Cover.
If you aren't, your choices are limited to whichever insurers you or your family have an existing relationship with or specialists like Star, E-Bike and that Golightly guy in Christchurch.
