That must be the worst first post I've ever seen!

Why, oh why would you do that to a Gixxer? Or any bike for that matter?

    Or an R1 or ZX10...

That may be the case, but it doesn't make your post any less of a waste of space also... I don't actually see anywhere in his post where he asks about the why, only the how.

On the other hand, I've had a good look over some gixxers, there's no good way to do it without changing the swingarm (imho, and that's only because outside the swingarm versions are just plain horrible). Unlike a twin, which usually has facilities for running a pipe up (or down) around that area, the gixxers (especially K7 models) are pretty damn compact and tight. I don't really think it's worth doing, unless you want to drop around $3-5000 on it (all told). I really would recommend swapping it out for any of the models that already has one (R1, ZX10R, Blade, etc).

Of course, those GP style exhausts look awesome, get one of those instead

/edit: Oh yeah, that Laser twin muffler setup, that's pretty cool that is.

Well, I hooked you pretty good then... which was half of why I responded, lol...

But then, I can see the logic for getting rid of two huge cans on the SV.

The Gixxer 750 is a nice looking bike as is... Not to mention one of the best handling bikes around, if reading a lot of mags is anything to go by. One would think those handling characteristics could be disturbed if the conversion wasn't done properly.

    Great bike

If you want to see what different exhaust options are available click here. I counted 84 pictures of different exhausts and there are links to the relevant web sites that sell them.

If you are thinking under seat, I think you should be thinking about whats going on under your helmet with regards to your choice in bike.

    Underseat? Eeeeeuuuughhhh

I spent ages trying to decide on which exhaust to fit on my k6. The shortlist being either the Taylormade, or the Yoshi TRC. Opted for the TRC in the end, mainly because Yoshi were a known product to me, and I hadn't heard many reports about the Taylormade at the time (reports seem very favourable now though)

Bit of info and a few pics of the TRC fitted to my bike here: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=46068

I've since drilled a small hole in the carbon end cone which makes it very quick and easy to remove/refit the baffle (the police over here are having a real clampdown on loud cans)

The TRC without the baffle sounds louder than my last Yoshi (a carbon tri-oval race) and I have to say the TRC sounds absolutely fantastic. New video comparison coming soon

Good luck in your hunt for an underseat if that's the route you decide to take. Each to their own
What a difference indifference can make
