It could be Mid winter madness for sure, but after all what is an adventure ride without adventure

Ok I think we will settle on the dates
How does the 30th June - 1st July sound?

    Cheers Scott

I did the first half of the Dusty Butt 1000 pillion - and that was a looooooong day.
So might see you guys there.

Ok I have put the dates down for the 30th June & 1st July
All details will be revealed soon

Aslan - How long do think we need to take to ride up the Whanganui?
So I give the Northern riders a time to meet? and then also allow enough time to comfortably make Whangamomona at a reasonable time,

    Cheers Scott

    Zukin - I'm in for Sat/Sun 30/6 - 1/7;

Re time / where to meet I'm conscious others may have strong preferences / suggestions for those coming from points South of Whangamomona. Working on the assumption we will ride up thru Jerusalem etc then I see possible timings as follows: 7.30am Plimmerton Weigh Station - picking up folks en route like Moki at Levin, Bart and Hugh (Dannivirke men) at Bulls say - 10am at Southern Entrance to Whanganui National Park heading North out of Whanganui but before you enter the Paraparas.

Lunch Raetehi - 1pm ish. Taumaranui 2pm alongside the local Suzuki dealer as you head out of Taumaranui and the turn off to the Forgotten World Highway.

Comments - other ideas welcomed - this should be a fun ride. Cheers Aslan

    Meeting in Wanganui

Would give us a chance from New Plymouth to ride down and join up.

I might be able to drag along more non KB riders

Aslan, are you talking saturday here?

For us civilised folks, we'll be in the central plateau area by friday evening (as long as a certain honda rider remembers to put gas in his tank this time) so can join up anywhere.......but wheres anywhere?

    Hi all

The plan will be revealed soon in a separate post

    However
We will meet in Wanganui (or along the way) on the Saturday.
For you Northern riders, if you decide to head down Friday night then I would also suggest Wanganui
Otherwise we anticipate meeting you in Taumaruanui at approx 2pm to travel to Whangamomona

    Cheers Scott

    folk coming from the north

    Fine by me,

Don't worry crisis, I'm sure I'll remember filling this time... several times I'm sure.

If we're meeting saturday at 14.00 in taumarunui maybe we could head down friday noon via port waikato-raglan, stay in raglan and cruise to taumarunui via kawhia and other places?

Hopefully we don't miss out on the manga bit and those naki narrow tunnels and so on....

Sounds like we need a route programme....
    Windboy.
