Wellington - Courtenay Place bike park

    Morning folks,

Did anyone else park in the bike park on Courtney Place/Taranaki Street this morning, the one behind the bungee? I parked there at 07:30 this morning and about 1/3 of the space was taken up by a huge Holden cage....unbelievable.

I was so hoping that the driver was around somewhere but there was no sign of him/her.

    Mike

Bike RIIIIIIIIIGHT in front... with locked steering... and a bike RIIIIIIIIIGHT behind it.... with locked steering... maybe another one or two snugged up nice and close to make it fucken difficult.

Call the Parking Warden (amasing how they're suddenly not Nazis now they're wanted huh?) anyway... sit and enjoy the show.
$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details

I thought there were times when normal cars could use bike parks, so went looking. Couldn't find it, but did find this:

    From: http://www.wellington.govt.nz/plans/bylaws/part18.html

    This is cool:

18.4.1 In respect of areas controlled by parking meters:
    d. Where more than one motorcycle occupies a parking space only one parking fee for any authorised period shall be required.

    This surprised me:

18.6.5 No person shall park a motorcycle in any parking meter area controlled by a multiple parking meter, other than in any part specifically set aside for motorcycles.
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.
