And here's me trying to tunnel into my desktop from my laptop (200mm away) via the internet using a Vodafone Mobile connect card in the Laptop. Unsuccessfully, I might add.

Ain't this wireless technology grand? I feel sorry for our granddaddies, who had to laboriously run strands of copper from device to device.

It brings to mind my dream of a technological future where mobile phones will have voice recognition, enabling text messages to be entered by speech, as well as text-to-speech technology, enabling received messages to be read out in a lifelike voice. Why, one day, things might even advance to the point where we can have a delay of only one or two seconds between voice-entering a text to someone, and their hearing it audibly read out to them!

    Isn't Progress an amazing thing?

    Up a tree mostly.

    And work.

    And at home.

And in the car, when walking/seeking attention etc (PDA or laptop).

I've tried an tinternet cafe - but I find that they overcook the keyboards.

Sometimes in my room laying in bed, sometimes in the living room watching tv. Sometimes I'm in the garage sitting on my bike. and sometimes you just dont want to know. The times I'm not on I'm sleeping or job hunting.
