That Thruxton sure is a great looking machine, but why did they put the 270 crank in it rather than the 360. I would have thought that the latter would be more in keep with the older models sound and feel, rather than giving it a Ducati-esque sound.
The tests I've read on the Thruxton haven't been that complimentary either unfortunately, when compared to the Ducati 1000 etc.

Find a chick who’s just been dumped and comfort her by massaging her shoulders, and soon, she’ll be massaging your prostate.
re 270 degree cranks- http://www.sense.net/~blaine/270.html
I tend to ignore bike reveiws now days. Basicly if you like it, buy it and ride it. Hell, if you don't like it ride it. It may grow on you over time. The Triumph air cooled parrallel twin line fills a gap that had been missing in the general international motorcycling line up for quite a while. One that the Kwaka W650 kicked off.
(Now shoot me.)
Thanks for the link, Bonez..that was some reading !!!![]()
But made sense to this old grey matter !!

Tis agonising.
Looking at the UK Triumph site ( http://www.triumph.co.uk/uk/6194.aspx ) the Thruxton, Bonneville and Bonneville T100 are listed as having a 360 degree crank whereas the America, Scambler and Speedmasters have a 270 degree layout.
