I guess they are quite helpful in a general sort of way. But you don"t really get to know your new steed until it's done a couple thousand k's.
Case in point : 06 Srambler. Great fun on the test ride, which made it easy for me to pass over the dosh. Slowly now I'm doing the few little mods that Triumph could of done in the first place. But everything is built to a price.
Best mod so far? Ditching the standard shocks and getting Mr Taylor to work his magic with Ohlins. Fork springs and emulators rounded the suspension out nicely.
Totally different bike now. Off road and on.![]()
It's all part of the beautiful mystery that is motorcycling.![]()
No.no offence taken.it's great that all the rats and hogs ride together......if only we could get all the 65+ old fucks who wear hats and can't drive for shit, and the remuera women's 4wd(road use only-any dirt on it and you get chucked out of the club)association(they are blind etc)to all drive together, then all the lance armstrong wanabes(you know the type....ride 2 metres off the kerb, run red lights, don't give way at intersections etc etc)we'd pretty much have all the fuckwits and fags out together!
only kidding......................we love you guys!............no offence!
