Firefight and the piccies we took

SOmething to do with a magazine wanting some pictures of Firefights R6 to support Motoracers write up on the R6.
We headed to Hamilton Lake for some pretty piccies, we were even offered a nude model which we turned down ,she was a 500 year old and the body well... moving on, we then went to the windy bits on the way to Raglan for some action shots, Unfortyunetly the rain started to come down and it limited the speed of the shots and extended abilities as a camera man. Anyway here they are

Is it just me, or are some of those shots a bit blurry? Saw a docu thing on US mag Sports Rider or something doing a foto shoot, didnt think you could get ya knee down at such slow speeds, it was bizarre, this guy knee scrapping at like 20km/h, bloody posers....

Off topic slighly... is the front tire on the R6 mounted the wrong way around? Tread pattens look wrong.

Re the blur, just need a faster film / shutter speed. More light / sunny day would've help.

Erm, I'm guessing these were for me, as I'm giving Motoracer's writeup the website treatment?

If so, thanks for doing this, it is appreciated. I'll sort out a couple and the article and pix (who should I give the photo credit to, by the way? Real or pseudonym will go in, depending on what you want used) will be launching into the web about the 24th September.

Quite funny, people always think that the action shots in magazines are taken at 'real' speeds. In truth? They're going as slowly as they possibly can without falling off!

Friend of mine did a road test a while back - he said most of the day was taken up with riding round a roundabout at about 5mph to get the so-called action shots of the bike being leaned over!

But thanks again for these - really, really appreciated.

Great piccies. Would it look like I lean over that far if you took some piccies of me on my Monster/s Quasi??

Bob: can you give us the link when the article's online please? Ta.

Those who know Kerry from motohaus tyres, will agree its unlikely he would put a tyre on the wrong way.

Not sure what speed I was doing, was busy hanging on, pretty sure it wasn't 5 kph, Maybe Quazzie has a better idea, Re Credit for photo You will have to pm Quazzie to find out what name to use for his photos.

Ummmm.... not in the mag article I did.

Get yourself a gun lens man such as Mr '750 and all the shots we took were at 80kph +

But yeah, you can get your knee down fairly easily at 10-15kph at full lock if you want to.
