Junior was heading over from Tokoroa tonight to deliver Dads TL back that he had been borrowing while his is off the road.

Travelling along Whites rd, Putaruru heading to Mamakus at under 120. Dark. Approached easy left hander (for him). Oncoming car crossed centre line and just kept cutting corner more and more.

Junior ended up off the road in metal in order to avoid headon. Kept his cool and carried on for about 10 km before it fully dawned on him how close it had been and he pulled over and gave us a call while he calmed down.

Lucky it was a bend where he had full visibility and he could see events unfolding in time for him to take action.

Result 2 parents shaken up more than junior!

Don't forget guys and gals ....we are the only good drivers...every one else is out to kill us.

Pucker moments like those definitely let you know how various organs and orifices are working!

Glad to hear that the right outcome was achieved and your lad was safe as houses Calm head, good skills and I don't know if I would have said anything myself to the olds (that way they can't be shaken!)
