Not quite the same thing but I was in my mates V8 ute going up the Mangawekas when this 'boy' in a little Italian car hauled past doing about 160k. The ute was making all the right noises with a set of headers and big pipes, but would only do about 140k up the hill on CNG due to lack of gas flow through the regulator. The boy would have got away with it if he hadn't had a big smirk on his face. A quick change to petrol and a short distance later I went past him at over 200k.But it makes you get a cheesey dumbfounded grin

This was an old Holden ute but with a worked 400 chev. Up to about 70mph the only limit to acceleration was traction. At a guess I would say a 400 would have a hard time running away from it.
