first bike that goes back a few years, it was a road legalised suzuki TM250, for those that can't remember them they were Suzuki's motocross bike before the RM range came out. think it was about 1974 vintage. got given it about 1979 and rebuilt it. Had a lot of fun on it too.

First bike for me was a Honda Mini Q or Z50 (never was quite sure about the designation. Hours of fun, and the start of a lifetime passion

Mine was a Honda QR50 - in fact, I still own it.

And it still (kinda) runs. Just not with me on it....

Royal Enfild Meteor Minor Sport 500 twin -62

I was 16. I had been riding some mopeds etc before that. But they do not count. I finished school, went out working on a cargo ship, saved almost every penny (well almost, there was this place in Poland where the older guys took me that was filled with girls. I paid 100 Danish Krona and I was taken care of...A week later it was time for an penicillin injection...) Eight months later I came ashore anbought the RE. Rode her home 200Km's in full storm. (My new boss at the bakery somehow managed to see me riding and did not believe that I had been too sick to come to work that day. That was the end of my baking). Had her for 3 years and rebuilt the engine, (this is where I learnt that draining the oil of a motor with a wet sump is not what you do on the carpet in your bedroom...for a year my socks would leave wet oil stains where ever I went). Sold her and bought my first 750 Bonny. Wish I had not, but...

Much like the one on here but mine was red and had chromed guards and sides of tank.

Yamaha RD200 ,electric start, tls front brake, knobbly on the back.Ate all my money replacing pistons.Taught me how to plead with the cops and that the road hurts.Sometimes it used to run backwards and the only clue was the tacho wouldn't show any revs.Bikes that go backwards look funny.
