To my shame I dont remember the model of my first bike but it was a Yamaha 125 trail bike of early 70's vintage. Unfortunately it was only a few years old when I bought it

Had a Yamaha Pasola (49cc ) when I was 15.

First REAL bike was a 82 Suzuki GSX250 ("The Bitch")

67 Yamaha YL1 - 100cc twin - almost as fast as a Suzuki S32-2 (150cc twin) and faster around corners.

GB400, license conditions didn't mean as much then as they do now. Besides, it was slower than most of the 250s around at the time.
