What a difference indifference can make
1974 XL 100 - which I might add blew the doors off my cousins CB 100 of similar vintage in that frantic race to 60 kph, which if memory serves was there somewhat uncomfortable cruising speeds
Heady dayz !!!

Suzuki A100. Can't remember the year, but it would have been 197x. She was a doggone old thing, I used to thrash it on gravel roads and take it all through sand dunes at Lake Wainama out at Bethell's Beach in Auckland. The handling on these said surfaces left something to be desired.
First bike was a Gemini 50 (Taiwan copy of Yamaha) with the fold down handle bars...woohoo...first bike after getting bike license was a Honda CB125 blue.....
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead
Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow
In fact FU*K off and leave me alone

Don't want to hear ...: Slip, slidin' away, Caught by the Fuzz or Bam Thwok!(Paul Simon/Supergrass/The Pixies)
1967: Honda C100 Step-through.

Yep that's the type I had. Upgraded to a real trail bike when I found the A100 wasn't strong enough - you'd go over a jump and the footrests would bend downward when you landed because they were those fixed steel rod type with a rubber footpeg bit shoved over the rod. I had to weld mine up a few times at the gusset points. The wheel rims weren't strong enough either, but then I guess I was meant to putter around nicely on the road on it - but we just did everything on the one bike back then.
Cheers

1972 Honda SL100 just like the wee beastie below. It's now in my mums shed lovingly covered with a candlewick beadspread which is rather appropriate I think. I could never have imagined it would ever be a classic, only another 15 years and I have an antique on my hands.....
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be quoted out of context, then used against you.
Two things I wish I had never sold, first car and first bike even if they are heaps o shite still be nice to have them when your'e old and grey.
Honda Spada VT250
First bike when still at college-TL125 trials bike.
I loved it,it would climb anything you put in front of it.
First road bike the mighty RD250.
It's not that I'm wrong- It's your too dumb to understand!!!
Was given an ex army 2nd world war 350 Royal Enfield single with a sprung seat, girder forks on the front and a solid back end when I was 15 on the understanding that I completely stripped and overhauled it which I did.
Learnt a lot from that bike, great fun.
1982 Suzuki GSX250. Biggest drama was the alternator crapping out.
