that and i didnt get all my gear together til today ($1k later and i m still missing pants + gloves)

Holy crap! Were you buying stuff with gold stitching or sommat!? I bought all my gear (full two piece zip together leathers, helmet, tinted visor, glubs, booties) for a grand total of about $900 brand new... and it's all quality gear too. Only thing is I don't really have wet weather gear yet.

Nope, [img] tags are disabled. You have to use html if you want to imbed images in threads... though generally it's preferred by the mods if you limit this to smaller images, as it's less frustrating for those limited to using dialup. Or something like that anyway. But just for you:

i am picky since i wear glasses so i have to get a flipface......and the nolan n101 was so darn comfy.....hence the large bill.

still havent managed to get on the bike for a ride yet :P previous owner havent ridden it for a long time and the alarm is pwning the battery...just spend the last two evenings charging it back up so it will actually start. hopefully will manage to have a go tomorrow

finally went out for a n00bie ride yay. was only about 45 mins though (i am still far too tense hecen i am working myself up)

had a bit of a problem with the engine going off, it would go off when i ease back on the throttle to stop, and when the idling gets too low (had to keep it abot 3000rpm to stop it going off) but then the problem went away as soon as i got home (can quite happily idle away at 1500rpm >_<) i figured its the engine not warm enough. am i right??

Hey ya Carbacca, good stuff for getting on a bike and nice stuff for getting the GT250R! I'm also on the "L" plates and Hyosung too.

Dead right with the engine not being warm enough. Try using the choke with a little throttle when you start it in the mornings, leave the choke on for no more than a minute and it shouldn't stop. I had the same sort of problem with mine when I first got it.

Umm... not quite sure what you're getting at here...

What I do in the mornings, especially when it's cold, is move the clutch lever all the way towards me. I also use a bit of throttle initially just to make sure it doesn't die before the richer fuel-air mix gets to the engine. When it does I don't need to use the throttle anymore. I push the clutch lever all the way forward after no more than a minute once the engine has had plenty of time to warm up.
