I have been known to turn down a shag for a bike ride. I have also been known to delay a ride for shag...so take from it what you will.

Well if your partner is pissing you off like mine is at the moment, then it would definately be the bike ride, which I just happened to have tonight to give myself a bit of space. Motorbike does what you want it to without any arguements

I have to agree, riding a bike does give you space.

Routine is good, at least it guarantees things...
As for one nighters, the novelty wears off after a while. Its the company which matters in the end.
Marriage, dont get me started on that. Each to their own on that one.

Did you spell "routine" correctly there? ...or is it just that way it sounds?

LOL care to cite the source of this wisdom?

When the one night stands are one after the other, the last one didn't matter and the next one won't either... the excitement starts to wane and the prospect of another nameless lady passing through your life means as much to you as the headlines in the paper...tell me, what do you really have after the sweating stops?

A need to get the hell out of there as gracefully as reasonably possible (aka an exit strategy)?

Memories? Someone to be there for you? A shoulder to cry on? Family? Kids? Long term emotional security? Someone to walk hand in hand with down the beach when you're 90 - the person you've known, loved and trusted for 60+ years?

Marriage isn't perfect, it's a convention, an institution (one of several available) symbolising recognition of the natural care and affection you feel for another person. It has it's highs and lows, but the bedrock and security it provides is something only family can provide.

While there is a balance to be struck between family and friends, I'll take the opportunity to build and maitain an intimate relationship with my wife over riding a bike with my mates... my wife and family will get priority, without question, and without fail.

Rant over. Believe it or not I'm not actually fired up over this (despite the words put onto the screen). Just a general warning - be careful speaking of that you do not know.

I really didnt want to touch on the marriage thing in my earlier posts...but I do have to say...relationships are to be worked at. If there is one thing lacking in the relationship, then theres something else which makes up for it in another area.

The brief flings are only for self sastification at the time. Long term, those memories will fade away. Its the memories of a proper relationship which will always last both good times and bad.Sex is always good to get, but quality time with your other half is even better.
