Glad I checked this thread out, I noticed a tick the other day, I also noticed a bit of oil leaking, is this a common thing?

    Besides that, again, Fantastic
The tick is probably just the scissor gears on the cams.
Is the leak by the shift fork?I know this is a common problem but an easy fix.
Did you go to TLPLANET?you will find out anything you want to know about the TL there.

My dad just got a TL1000s with Yoshi pipes, and Aluminium braided brake lines, it's also been derestricted in the electronics department. Rips mean wheelies just from the torque. Hehehe was doing that today.

I have to say i've thrown my S away three times now, twice on my new one, once i just fell over in the gravel trap at puke, second low sided out waihi way, and TL' S crash good, much better than my gixxer did. I picked up some crash bungs today and fitted a new pilot power on the front, got two track days back to back coming up and i'm itching for a blast after i lost my licence for deremits (imagine this is quite common with TL riders ) .

Are any of you akld based guys getting out to puke on the 23rd and more central/welly based guys getting out to manfeild on the 24th, i'll be at both days, providing i dont chuck it away at puke on the sat.
Really need to up the number of big twins out there, last few times i've been at puke i've been the only twin, four stroke twin anyway.

May have an ohlins rear damper by then too, fingers crossed.

On my second TL. Looped my red 99 TLS a few months ago. Just got another a couple of Sunday's ago, blue 99 TLS. Awesome bike, fitted my ohlins from the wreck to my new TLS last week, only takes a couple of hours tops. Transforms the handling and tyre wear greatly improved.

    Airbox mod highly recommended too.

TLPlanet is a great site for TL owners to visit.

Why didn't you just do a "colour replace" in the original avatar?:spudwhat:
Nah - you will get a chance to change it before that, if SpankMe allows it, and I don't think you need 1000 posts to be able to. IIRC, I changed mine at a couple of hundred. But feel free to post Lotsa Crap (TM) like the rest of us high-post time-wasters...

No repeats of what put you off last time before then though okay, stay upright all of you.............

When i was saying TL's crash well i wasn't referring to looping one, guess one day i'll find that out

Hope not dude!, wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. The funny thing was I'd just been telling some mates (inline 4 riders) that it was bloody hard to loop a TL, with the compression of the v-twin to bring you back if the shit hit the fan, guess I was wrong!
