    Thumbs up Well done guys

Thanks burns for brining this back up.

That yoshi cover looks pretty smart.

What was/is your other clutch cover like???

If it is not warped and scraped I would be intersted in it

Well I have just about done all the concreting that has to be done (at the moment ) so I guess if people are keen it is time for that TL group ride.

I am sorry to hear that your bike is no go sm Hope you can get back into it before the good weather craps out

    Ok when are we free???

    I use swann as well

    You should be right mate.

I used swann when I had my bin.

There was only a small hiccup when they tried to write the bike off

But after some logical discussion it all worked out well.

    You should be fine

anyone here know much about the TL clutch? I think mine is stuffed after a few too many drunken burnouts last night... It just keeps slipping now! Is this going to be expensive to fix?

    Cheers

I have belonged to tlplanet.com for a while now and the amount of info on there is huge for the big twin, but I would also like to hook up with a few TL's in person to ride with.

    Any takers?

I ride up around the Corromandle quite often.

Thanks for listening and get back to me

Not here but Ive got some pretty interesting video clips off the net of people doing crazy things on them.

    2 things to check first

    Hi D

Could just be your stock springs are weak.

Could be that your actuator is not correctly adjusted, both very cheap and easy to sort out.

I will try and find you a link with pics on how to either shim your springs or replace with barnett springs.

    Barnett Springs.
    TLS 97 & 98 MT-15-5
    TLS 99+ MT-12-6
    TLR all MT-12-6

    Hang on a tic

    Here you go http://www.tlplanet.com/forums/showt...clutch+springs

Ok now for the actuater adjustment

I just need to check out my manual

Won't let me paste it in. I will try and mail it

Thanks heaps for that! I went for a ride today and it seems to have gotten better which is could... pity I cant say the same for my new michelin pilot power that is stuck all over the walls and chairs outside the garage! Where can you get the springs from? Mine has always had a bit of clutch slip in high gears accelerating from low revs. Might change the springs and see if that helps.

Thanks again for the great reply saul.

    Thumbs up Clutch springs

You can get some clutch springs from the local stealership, Premier I think they are called. They say that they are 10% longer/stronger but the reviews that I have seen of them are not that optimistic.

Barnett seems to be the way to go if you abuse your clutch

Don't all TL owners do that?

    http://www.barnettclutches.com/

If you go to tlplanet.com and do a search for clutch etc all will be revealed.

    Good luck.

PS Are you enjoying the powers???

I had some sports and hated them, but the powers have a good write up.

I am running rennsports at the moment and they feel pretty good

    Any Help with Parts??

Hey thats good news on the engine SM.
Also had powers on my S and they are shit hot, wet n dry.

Anyhow, spent the arvo pulling the busted (alot of them too) bits of my bike after my wee 4th gear wheelie went um rather pear shaped.
Figured i'd try my luck see if any of you fellas out there might have any spares hanging around that you wana sell. The bike is going to be built up into a streetfighter now (cheaper than rebuilding he front of the bike which is missing now )

    RH Clip On
    Front Brake master cylinder/resivour/lever
    RH Control block/twist grip
Tank (may already have sorted, maybe)
    RH Rearset Bracket/peg
Header Pipes (anyone upgraded and got the factory ones lying round)
Mufflers (anyone looking at selling there a/m pipes, or may consider factory ones)
    Taillight
    RH/LH rear fairings
    Indicators

I'll make one thing clear, i'm just interested in getting my bike up and running again so if you do have the part and it's say slightly damaged/scratched/whatever but will still do the trick, i'll still be interested i'm not after perfect parts just wanna ride.
Some things i am looking at a/m options like indicators n stuff but if it's cheap enough i'm interested for sure.

Anyone know or can recomend anywhere/one that stocks or has a good range of streetfighter parts, have been looking on the web at US/UK sites but would rather buy NZ but cant seem to find much at all.

    Cheers for any help guys.

Talking I have got a few bits

    Hi LB

    Front Brake master cylinder/resivour/lever
Good timing, I have a set of these in very good order as I have just this weekend put on a 5/8 set from a TLR.

Will sell PM me an offer

I also have some stock barends which I can donate to the cause, as they are just lying around doing nothing.

How did the hands cope with a bit of manual labour???
