Is your bike your main form of transport?

I'm just wonder how many of you guys use your bike as your MAIN form of transport.
I know there are quite of few weekend bikers and people who only ride on sunny days etc..
Just kinda curious about the exact ratio..
I myself use my bike for getting basically everywhere, most of the time when its raining as well. The only time i dont use it is when i feel i would be is real danger taking it out, say on a very windy rainy day... I clock up about 45km every weekday commuting...

i was down your way this morning, was a great day for a ride, pity i was in my car.

I use my bike for going to work and local trips around the city... but only in the dry! i hate getting my bike wet, not cos i dont like rain. If i had a crap old bike then id use a bike 95% of the time. at the moment the ratio is 50:50 bike to car.

I answer the top option, though do have cars, but I am more than wiling and do ride in all weathers and anyday. But with work being a matter of metres aways from the back door, not much point starting anything to get there, though I might have to buy a new pair of boots for walkin... lol

Bar the heavens soaking the roads, or a much needed trip to the shops for supplies - it's bike all the way. Is there any better way to travel?

Only form of transport for me.

Used to own a car as well, but hardly used it and it started to fall in disrepair from lack of use. Rego etc lapsed... went mouldy inside... so cleand it up and sold it to skidmark.

Im fortunate that I live with people that own cars, and when im working on my bike and need parts I can borrow their car to go get stuff for it.

Every other time/situation I use my bike. Even if its just cigs at the dairy down the road.

I dont mind the rain. Every morning I jump into the shower and get wetter than is ever possible with all my bike gear on so dont see what all the fuss is about. Its only rain. Its water. Thats all. Take gear off - im dry. Simple.

Thats why I have a sports-tourer opossed to a sport bike... much more comfortable for daily use.

I've always had both a cage and bike.

When my last car blew up the bike became the main transport.

Other than that its purely for fun. Sometimes I'll use it more than just on the weekends.

Dont think I'll ever make up my mind on this one. Its easy to just use both.

I used to ride all of the time in all weathers, I had little other choice, the bike was basically a necessity... these days the bike has changed, and so has its purpose... a nice shiny toy to be dragged out of the shed and enjoyed when the mood takes me. Usually the mood takes me when it isn't pissing down. The thought of all that cleaning takes some of the fun out of it.

Used to be my only form of transport other than shoe leather then life changed and I got to use "our" car occasionally. Now I work at home so don't need to commute any more. Occasionally we take a day off and then I'll be on the bike usually to watch some racing or maybe just a quick thrash around the back roads

I have both, use the bike as often as possible (those who know my pootling, know that well!) Ride in all weathers, anytime, anywhere!

like today ... used the cage to pick up bike bits, but I was seriously thinking of taking the bike and strapping the spare rear RZ wheel onto my back!

Whatta sight that woulda been for the cagers I pass ... Red ninja rider with a red rear wheel whizzing past them!

Damn, now that I think of it, I shoulda done!

My option is not there - I use the bike most of the time. It's mainly if I need to carry lots of shite that I take the car - I ride the ducati in the rain - it's not true what they say - Ducatis are waterproof!

Yeah - bike $6,500 car $1,500....I'm not as rich as these out of work IT types from Hamihole
