Unhappy A 12 step program for bikers

I need help....I'm addicted....I have no money for food, the landlord has evicted me, my children are shoeless, my wife has left me, my creditors have taken out a contract on me....

I have been quitting some bikes I had, ' cos I don't get enough time to ride one bike often, let alone several, and there are all these other uses for the money (refer above... ) and then I saw this lovely old GSXR1100J for sale...and I HAD TO BUY IT....I don't why..it's totally stupid...but I just couldn't help myself.

She's a bit special . The owner before last reckons he spent $14k in total on it. It's got a big bore kit, shotpeined rods, flowed and planed head (12.2:1), Dyna coils, full Yoshimura race system, 3 angle valve grind, cam grind, Barnett clutch, undercut and hardened gears, K&N filter and jetted carbs, polished wheels running Comp Ks, lots of polished bits, gleaming paint. He reckons she was dyno'd at 142rwhp (that's rwhp) and electronically timed over a flying km at 282km and has run a 10.4 standing quarter.

    So....she kicks ass and she's pre-'89

Now I just have to learn how to ride the beastie (big step up from a nifty fifty)

And THEN.....I saw ANOTHER GSXR1100 for sale on this very forum. This time an M, with some frontal damage...and I thought mmmmmmmm 17 inch wheels.....40mm carbies......... but no I mustn't...AH DAMMIT I'LL BUY IT....and so now I have 2......and I'm NOT GOING TO BUY ANY MORE...I'M NOT GOING TO BUY ANY MORE....I'M NOT GOING TO BUY ANY MORE.......

Hey Cajun. I might have lucked out with the M. I have yet to get seriously into fixing it up but so far looks like a straightforward fix. So then I'll have the dilemma of choosing which bike to ride ...shall I take the blue and white one...or the blue and white one..Aahhh....life is good....:cool2:

Try TVs, they're quite spectacular. Best done at a friend's house though.

Now there's an interesting phrase. "Lucked out"

Does that mean your luck ran out? or you got lucky? which is the opposite. or something else?
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Yeah like bad means good & No means NO, or Yes.

Ok then what does it mean, ‘you’ve got your work cut out for you’

Presumably from dress or shoe making. Does it mean:

    1. There is a lot of work waiting for you

    Or.

    2. Some one’s already done the cutting for you –Neat, ˝ the job is already done!

Do people get the wrong end of the stick (old English toilet saying in itself) & the meaning of the saying get distorted from the original?
