Looks like I'm good to go for Fri. Plan to meet the Akld crew at Kauri flat like on the Raglan run last month. If the weather is average, I will see you in Raglan near the pub.
Do you plan on going round the coast to via Ruapuke beach, and then round the Kawhia harbour? only asking to make sure you lot are going into Raglan.( hate to miss the bus).
Will PM Crisis and windboy my details later. Two more sleeps![]()
Frost on the ground this morning in the Naki at 7.45am, which is the time we will be leaving here on Saturday to get to Wanganui. Just keep remembering warm thoughts!!!!
Riiight, we're ready to roll on friday, looks like depart Autobahn (papakura) at 8am then via the coast to Raglan, Kawhia etc and down to Taumaranui or a bit further if the weather & time permit.
So far its me, Windboy & his invisible friend and Tri-boy. Any last minute additions can meet us on the way but a PM might be useful first!
In deference to the rain, I have packed my brolly.
Taumarunui to Wanganui is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from memory, if you have time see if you can make it that far down.
Otherwise like Aslan said meet at Jerusalem or Pipiriki![]()
Let us know on Friday night where you are and try to let me know what you plans are on Sat before 10am to let me know where we can expect to meet you![]()
Safe ride

it looks like I'm going to have to cancel out of this weekend due to some business and family commitments that mean I'm not going to be able to free up both days. Have a great ride.
OK, it does now look very likely we will see rain, hopefully clearing, during saturday with only showers sunday>>>>>any advance on this?
Righto, who will be in Wanganui friday nite? Me and the mrs ( via car, not 2x on DR!!!) will be spending the evening on the loose in this bustling metroplis and could be convinced to meet up with any crew also loose here this evening!
Interested? ( hey, you will have had enough of me friday and I won't bug u's during the rugger on sat!!) PM me and I will return my mobile No.!!!!
Hughgo and I are about 50/50 at this stage.
For a quick reality check, I looked at the temperature guage. -3 when I went to work this morning, and it's only up to +3 now. Add some wet stuff to that and it won't be much fun.
We are adventurous.... but not bloody crazy.
Ok
For those that decide that they are not coming for whatever reason, can you please ensure you contact the hotel asap to cancel your booking
We dont want any nasty surprises when we turn up there![]()
Cheers Scott

Just a couple of comments.![]()
Yes, there will be some rain, but lets put into perspective. The low approaching is carrying nth easterly's. Its not a filthy big southern monster.
We are heading to a warm, hospitable pub, not camping outside.
At any stage at which people wish to abandon/seek shealter, they can.(I would be one of the first)
If some riders have some spare gloves, rain suits, maybe take them for the less well equipped
Kiwi's like a challenge.
See you there.![]()
