Hi
The hotel is booked out for the night for us!!![]()
Call them and tell them you are with the KB group (motorcyclists)
There is still plenty of rooms left (5 at the time of typing this message)
I guess we can squeeze plenty of the singles together (as long as you dont snore)
Cheers Scott
Dusty Butt 1000km - We knocked the bugger off what next?
I've booked. See you then![]()
That's correct Zukin!
Only 15 min ago I booked a friend of mine.
Yo crisisman, are you booked?
later,
Windboy.
Thanks they have just explained that they have booked the hotel out for this group so you need to let them know you are part of it.
Phew - I couldnt see my wife staying at the motor camp....
Put us down for 2 on the trip, will meet the the southern group in Wanganui.
This is likely to be our first big ride together, so you have got to treat us "Virgins" well (ie shout lots of rums at the bar!)
The bike isnt a week old yet and only has approx 230kms on the clock (me riding it from Palmy to the Naki). Hope to introduce her to some gravel this weekend, so at least by the time this ride rolls around the trainer wheels will be off the back!
By the way you arent all a bunch of young guys, I am in my 40s.
Hi Young1 - relatively speaking, you are among the youthful members of this trip. I'm a baby boomer who began my riding on a 1952 BSA Bantam in the early the early 60's when triumphs, norton, bsa & velos were king! - the late Bert Munro is a special hero of mine - cheers Aslan![]()
The older someone is the better story they have to tell as the night gets longer!!
I guess I can still say mid 30s... just.
36...
Windboy.
Whew, big thanx to Zukin 4 clearing up the booking situation, me and she-who-must-be-obeyed are now booked in , so I shall collect my toys from outside the sandpit and go back to looking forward to doing this and meeting you lot! Age...ummmm....late forties, snores, farts incessantly(?),has inflated opinion of own abilitys......go on......stop me anytime!
We plan to stay friday at wanganui and start at the bp sat morning.
see you all there....
Man! you guys don't waste any time. Not sure if my gear dried out yet from Makairo. I'd love to tag along, but instead will be scratching around to find a more suitable ride and get into that gravel!
Karl - put the TKC80's back on and get some gravel riding in before hand - like say the Pohongina Valley in behind Ashurst - this stuff is all about doing the miles and getting our heads (attitudes) in the right space.
Hope to see you at Levin en route to the Whanganui National Park! Cheers Aslan aka Stephen O![]()
we need you Moki - beemer riders unite!![]()
