Standby...... the 640's going on Trade me later this week, once I have serviced it and given it a general clean up. All that mud from those farms Colin dragged me through on the MMMM still needs to be chipped off!
The 640s' actually on trade me now, I'm already having second thoughts.
This bloody 450 better be good.

Try and keep up, K1s, although distinctly iconic don't do it for me, I'm struggling with my self image with an R80.
Bikes: 200 exc & 640 Adv (both for sale so I can get a 450 EXC) R80 RT of dubious pedigree and a GP125 bucket.
I know exactly what you mean, it's a bit of an experiment but I want to do more off road than gravel and the 640 just gets bogged in stuff a smaller bike will fly through. For anything on a public road / farm track the R80 will suffice, it's as capable as a KLR and a hoot to thrash around on. It's the older school version of a Triumph Scrrambler.
Be interested to see how that works for you. I looked at downsizing the 640 a couple of years ago (but keeping the 200 as well) and decided I couldn't give up the on-road capability of the 640. However CrazyHopALong went 640Adv -> DR-Z400 -> 450EXC -> 525EXC so the EXC must do the business for him!
Cheers,
Colin
