Luck is when oportunity and preparation meet
Id say the car driver just didnt check, I dont think anyone would do that just because they done like people on bikes.

Maybe the driver didn't see him. To my simple mind the rider was in, or pretty close to, the driver's blind spot. The rider should have picked that the driver was planning on passing, by the way the car was accelerating, slowing, braking etc. He did nothing to let the driver know he was going to pass.

the red car is braking (presumably because the car in front of him is going slow) and as they approach the 'now you can pass' lines the red car goes to pull out, then ducks back in, then pulls out again.... ok so he didnt indicate (may have just as he pulled out, who has three seconds when you wanna do it then and there!)... but any defensive bike rider would have noticed the first move out over the line and then the constant braking as a damn good indicator that the car (the red one) really wants to get past the car in front... if it was me on the bike i would back off and let the car in front do what it has to do, then blast past them all later on....
the bike rider didnt indicate either.... and he was far to close to the car in front.... should be "bike rider causes own crash by being impatient".

no wait, not done... maybe there is more to the video than that 30secs, maybe the rider pissed off the driver enough he wanted to swerve into him.... hmmmm
