    Re the bins on 22

Firstly, I am sure all will agree its great the boys are okay !

Did not plan on a 290 k return trip with my trailer on Fathers day, but was more than happy to help. Just some other points I would like to make.

    1) If you are waiting for your bike to be picked up, unless your in need of medical help, or need shelter stay with your bike, or make sure someone else does.

    2) You guys are very lucky, your bins had the potential to cause you some serious harm However you got away with it, and thats great, Make sure you learn from it !, But get back into it as soon as you are happy to, and try not to make the same mistakes.

    3) Re your suggestion Affman, I don,t want any $$ for or petrol, however if you guys(who binned) want to make a donation to Spankme, 290k trip with car and trailer was about NZ$45.00 petrol, thats up to you.

    4) Mike, my good friend, there is no Jinx on 22, as one of the KBers who ride it on a regular basis I;am sure I would have noticed any Jinx.

    5) Finally, well done the farmer, helping the boys and that covering the oil on the road thing was a bloody well done mate!

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

Erm.. Other way 'round dude, nothing wrong with my front tyre, I had things to do so I travelled with BadLt to make sure he was OK on the way home.
And what did you lot get up to while I was gone?????
Ya might laugh at me with 110hp and at the back of the pack [ nana] but you lot take the cake
Was it an omen that F/F said he was on call for misshaps?
And someone brought the rain, not pointing any fingers mind, but it was sunny premo back in Ak
Glad to hear ya got off lucky, and its always worse the next morning, my claim to fame is one bin in 19 years, back of the pack as some sort of support tractor, sorry I turned off and was not there to help
All the best in recovery/repairs guys.

Lesson for the week: Try to go around corners, not through them.

I'll be back into it as soon as this bloody cast is off, they reckon 1-4 weeks depending on whether there is a break or not..

I'm still trying to work out how I managed to run around and climb up and down banks yesterday, whereas today I can't even put weight on my left foot without it collapsing under me.. :spudwhat:

I spent 6 weeks in plaster recently with a broken schapoid, and after another 6 weeks out of plaster I'm still working on getting it back to 100%,hopefully youll get lucky and it wont be broken.

Everyone stuffs up sometime. Look at Biaggi running into Capirossi at Estoril.
PS. Thank you Prime TV, I take back everything I said about them when they changed to dumbed-down TV.

    Awesome ride!

Another mint ride! On the way down we were going relatively slower but on the way back, it was simply awesome!! The highlight of the day for me was riding with TS in heavy rain. I felt like it was some sort of a 2 smoke GP race in the wet. It's really good to ride in those conditions close to the bike's limit with a great rider on a similar bike. Trying to give slipstreaming a go on the straights was bloody good fun too!

Paparazzi- you were doing unbelievably well. I think you are going to be one of the quick ones real quick! I reckon just take your time though, there is no real hurry...

Erik- sorry to see you go down man but there is shit all damage to the bike and you were unhurt as well which is the main thing.

Lou you (*&^( - I wanted to watch that when I got home.....
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Hi Guys

It was me who left early, front end wasn't feeling right and thought it was better to head home then have an off, must have been temping fate. Made it back safely without contributing to HP fund although one tin top who came rawing past us was lucky to get away with it (same HP office who spoke to us at Ngarawahia) Sorry to hear about the bins, but the roads were slippery in places. Hope can get back on board soon.

    cheers

Oh well, hope having "Faster" and "Spinal Tap" to watch tonight will make up for it.

Ohh, broken spatula, had that when I was a kid. I was playing up in the kitchen and mum broke it across the back of my legs, hurt heaps, I even cried.
    Get well soon.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes.

I'm feeling a bit sorer than yesterday, aches all over the place, sore neck and my head hurts if I cough too hard. But other than that I'm pretty much ok. I don't really know what the symptoms of a concussion are, but I'm not feeling dizzy or anything, so I guess I'm ok.

Logan and Motu, thanks for the offers of help. Hopefully I should be ok though, the damage doesn't seem to be too bad. I'll let you know if I need a hand.

Firefight, sorry about not staying with the bike. We thought you might've stopped where paparazzi had come off, so were heading back there to see. In the future I'll remain with the bike (well, hopefully I won't be having any more offs too soon).
And you're bloody right about us being lucky. Thinking about it today I could have died quite easily if I'd been knocked unconscious and ended up a bit further into that creek, or if a car had been coming the other way...

I'll be making a donation to Spankme just as soon as I've figured out my funds.

Paparazzi, I hope that wrist and ankle heal up quick.

Same here, without KB I'd still be standing at the top of the band with a silly grin on my face wondering what happened, and I'm sure Nemo would still be spashing about in the creek

Had the ankle looked over again today, the reckon it's one of the minor ligaments and I'n going to get some physio on it tomorrow, plus get it bound.

The wrist will be in a cast for two weeks, then they will x-ray it to see if it's broken. If it is, then it's another 6 weeks or so in a cast..

Without modding the throttle I don't think I'll be able to get it WOT with a cast on, so I guess I'm off the cbr for a while..

Might get my mountain bike back on the road, could swap the front brake to the left grip so all I've got to do with my right hand is try to hold the bar straight..
