Hi Richard.... Dark side eh?.....Hmmmm, I have a lime green bike and matching green and pink riding gear, yours is all black, so who's gone to the dark side????

I had to make a choice between a track bike (was favouring gixer 750) or a dirt bike and figured I'd live longer and get more riding off road. I've never been keen on commuting on a bike, I have tools to cart around and don't know how to go slow, bikes are for sport, I'd loose my license in a jiffy on Auckland streets.

With a bit of luck, I'll still get a track bike a bit later on and am thinking along the lines of an early 750 Katana to relive the the glory days at Manfield.......

    Cheers, Phil.

Thanks Wellyman, I had an E1 KDX back in '89, transplanted the motor in to a '91 KX125 and rode that for a couple of years until a busted shoulder put me out of action for a while. Sold it to a mate, who still rides it, it's been to the moon and back 10 times, but is still on it's original bottom end and cylinder. Bullet proof? you bet......

I had an early Steel tank KDX 200 a couple of years ago. and was pretty damn unbrekable, but was hard to ride with the amount of weight that the steel tank and steel frame had.

Hey good on ya! New KDX200 see ya on the Mr Motorcylces rides they are great fun!!

Oh by the way the "2nd child hood" is called "mid life Crisis" and it is the best fun a bloke could have. I'm stuck in the middle of it and I hope it never ends. Bloody near killed me B4 xmas on the VTR1000 but a shit load of fun all the same. Still on the Z1 though and riding the Cr twice a week. Awesome fun!!!

Went to Thunder X today (Kimis was closed), its bloody bloody muddy or Sicky slippery clay. Like walkin/paddling your bike up alot of the tracks. Mud up past the axles in the holes and "slick as" on the clay tracks. After flyin through the air every Wednesday at Ardmore, it wasn't fun. 3 of us took an hour to do the B track alone. I was 2 hours at the bikes B4 dark and only cleaned 1 1/2 and the gear out of 3. Please God shine some sun on that place! Should have gone to the Woodhill ride. Still I wanted clay and got it 10 fold.
    Cya all!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Yeah, the Mr Motorcycles trail rides were the main reason for getting the bike (bought it from them too) Enjoying the Woodhill rides at this time of year, but prefer wide open spaces. Roll on summer. Been riding mountain bike at least once a week at Woodhill as well, trying to get into shape...Well "round" is a shape...
