What are the Woodhill tracks like at the southern entrance?

there is a ride on this weekend, what are the tracks like? are they the ones from the 2 man last weekend?

    When: Sunday, 13 May 2007
Where: Woodhill Forest - Southern Entrance - Murawai
    District (Region): Greater Auckland (AUCKLAND)
Directions: Signposted from State Highway 16 at Waimauku - head to Murawai and down through township. Take Coast Road past the Golf Club and enter the Forest from that end. A gate person will direct you to the start area.
Classes: - This ride has a minimum of four courses; blue for Beginners, green for kids, yellow for the whole family and red for the more skilled - tracks are groomed and user friendly - lots of fun.
Terrain: Sand Based Forest - All weather so riding doesn't stop. Easy terrian and lots of fun and especially really safe.

looks like it will be in the same area, the tracks around there are great, but some rain would be needed i think to make it worthwhile. if it has a days rain between now and then i will be going. the expert tracks are fun but no where near as technical as riding in riverhead!!

    Smile trail ride.

Your love it cheese, alot better then the trails at the bike part.
As they are not ridden every weekend.
Should still have alot of grass cover over the sand.
And a trial that you haven't been on before is always better then one that you can use every week. Even if it is cut up a bit.
Im not going to this ride as i'll most likely have to be "pit bitch for Gr8bums"
and "ArsoslowWC" at rodey club day .
can't ride as instead of "thrashing" my 600 around the track i ended "trashing" it in stead , and my wrist is paying for my big balls stupidity

a pretty good area to ride, when you can get access to it,
you will enjoy it more than the bike park.

I can only think of one area only one area better in the forest,
    and thats the lake block
just north of the exsisting bike park, it used to be sub leased by a maori trust, not sure who controls it now, if you ever get the chance to ride there grab it with both hands..
Bugger all sand, heaps of natural jumps, lake, cover ,forest shade
    great spot..

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

yep fully agree, still one of my fav places to ride

riverhead has huge potential, but I don't think it will ever happen,

    for reasons alreday discussed.

dude, yeah mystical is a good description of the maori block,

its not part of the bike park, its about two blocks north of the eastern boundry of the bike park, you travel north up the center forestry road, you know where the double gates are ... as I said it used to be under the control of a maori trust, not sure if its been logged out yet or not, it was the best part of the whole forest, Greg ran some one off events there a couple of years ago, we would spend a day marking it out, a day test riding it , then run the event the following day..

I will make some enquires tonight and see if it is ever still available, will drop you a pm if I find anything positive..

Doesn't sound like a bad day. I'll see if I can get my suspenders back in in time. Also mothers day so "her indoors" may have to be consulted.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

mmmmmmmmmm I wonder if mine would like a nice "MOTHERS DAY" at a FAMILY Trail ride day at Woodhill".

    Don't like my chances

Actually if it wasn't Mothers day and we are supposed to give up all activity unless devoted to her, she might go for it. See if I can get up enough courage to broach the subject aye!!

mmmmmmmm I have a plan Hatching Get up early, Make her breakfast in bed Woodhill (her too), flowers, cook tea.

How much does it cost. Couldn't find anything on Power adventures site. CR125, CR250, KX85cc. I riden by the wife if my plan works
